Support Through Cancer

Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and mindfulness

Cancer can ask a lot of you. There are appointments, decisions, and the effects of treatment, alongside everything else in your life. You may be tired, uncomfortable, worried, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself.

I offer support with the physical and emotional challenges of cancer, during treatment and afterward. My aim is to help you feel better and have more room for the people and things that matter to you.

How I can help

We begin with what is hardest right now. It might be pain, nausea, fatigue, changes in digestion, difficulty sleeping, or anxiety about what comes next.

Depending on your needs, we may work with:

  • Acupuncture to help manage symptoms and support your comfort through treatment and recovery.
  • Chinese herbal medicine, when appropriate, with careful consideration of your medications and coordination with your oncology team.
  • Meditation and mindfulness to help you meet stress, uncertainty, and difficult days with more steadiness. No experience is needed.

“Acupuncture has been an incredible support during my cancer journey — it consistently reduces my anxiety and helps quiet my mind. I leave each session feeling calmer, grounded, and better able to cope with treatment.”

There is also time to talk and sort through what you are experiencing. I can help you organize questions for your medical team, think through what matters to you, and find manageable ways to support yourself between appointments. Together, we find an approach that fits your needs and your capacity right now.

This work supports your cancer care and is offered alongside your medical treatment.

“Jeremy has provided a helpful sounding board. He has helped formulate questions for my medical team. I would say his coaching supports and supplements my medical treatment.”

About me

I’m Jeremy Rothenberg, a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and coach. My continuing education includes Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Fundamentals of Oncology Acupuncture course.

My own experience with serious illness and open-heart surgery changed how I understand being a patient. I know how difficult it can be to live with uncertainty, search for answers, and recover your confidence in your body. That experience informs the attention and care I bring to this work.
